MADAME JUDITH ANN FRANCIS EST LA COORDINATRICE SENIOR AU CENTRE TECHNIQUE DE COOPERATION AGRICOLE ET RURALE DONT LE SIEGE EST AU PAYS-BAS. ACTUELLEMENT, ELLE SE TOURNE A DSCHANG AU CAMEROUN OU SON ORGANISATION (CTA) CO-ORGANISE UN ATELIER INTERNATIONAL SUR LE THEME « LES INNOVATIONS EN SCIENCE ET TECHNOLOGIES AGRICOLES » A L'ATTENTION DES FORMATEURS, C'EST-A-DIRE UNIVERSITAIRES ET CHERCHEURS.
DITES-MOI, MADAME, QU'EST-CE-QUI JUSTIFIE L'OPPORTUNITE DE CET ATELIER « LES INNOVATIONS EN SCIENCE ET TECHNOLOGIES AGRICOLES » UNIQUEMENT OUVERT AUX FORMATEURS ?
Thank you. Agricultural sector needs innovation and Africa needs a critical mass of experts who understand innovation and innovation processes and can influence policy processes to bring about institutional change and create the enabling environment for agricultural development.
COMMENT COMPTEZ-VOUS CHANGER LA SITUATION SI NOUS SAVONS QUE LES PROBLEMES DE NOTRE ECONOMIE SONT AVANT TOUT DES PROBLEMES D'ORDRE POLITIQUE ?
African academic and scientific community must work more closely with policymakers and others agricultural stakeholders to achieve the desired changes. They cannot continue to remain disconnected from society.
POUR QUOI N'AVOIR PAS ALORS ASSOCIE A L'ATELIER LES BAILLEURS DE FONDS ET LES POLITIQUES. QUESTION DE LEUR FAIRE COMPRENDRE LA PROBLEMATIQUE QUI EST DEBATTUE ET LES ENJEUX POUR L'AFRIQUE DE SORTIR SON AGRICULTURE DE L'HESITATION ?
We find policymakers and decision makers at all levels. In the workshop, we had director generals of research, deans of faculties, vice-chancellors and other senior officials. These experts have direct contact with government ministers and other key policy makers and financiers. They need to take the opportunities of influence national policies and mobilize the necessary financing for improving agricultural performance. However, they also need to be more accountable for public funds.
QUELLES SONT VOS ATTENTES PAR RAPPORT A CET ATELIER DONT VOUS ETES UN DES FINANCEUR ? ATTENDEZ-VOUS QU'IL PRODUISE DES EFFETS CARACTERISTIQUES SUR LES CONTENUS DES FORMATIONS DANS LES INSTITUTIONS UNIVERSITAIRES ET CENTRES DE RECHERCHES EN AFRIQUE NOIRE ? COMMENT ?
CTA financed this workshop. Our mandate is to build capacity; facilitate information and knowledge flows and support policy processes. Training researchers and academicians to analyse, and strengthen the agricultural, science technology and innovation (ASTI) system will enable then to do more targeted research, that will have impact on socio-economic development. The analysis of the system can be used to lobby policymakers and donors to increase investments for research, education, training and innovation.
UN ATELIER COMME CELUI-CI MERITE UN SUIVI DES RECOMMANDATIONS, POUR QUE L'ON NE SE RETROUVE PAS L'ANNEE PROCHAINE ENTRAIN DE REUNIR LES GENS SUR LE MEME SUJET, MADAME ?
To prevent another training workshop as a follow-up, our goad is to build capacity. Once the delegates apply the training in their organizations, communities and countries, we can converse another workshop to share the lessons learned and identify best practices which can be up-scaled and widely disseminated to achieve greater impact on agriculture and rural livelihoods.
